Dr Rory Compton graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013, and went on to complete his internship and residency at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He stayed there an extra year in a senior resident role to gain further experience in Emergency Medicine and ICU before starting his GP training. During his training he spent some time rurally in St George and Barcaldine, before returning to Brisbane. He completed his fellowship (FRACGP) in 2018.
Rory has done further paediatric training, completing the Diploma in Child Health program in 2018. He also has completed further training on administering iron infusions.
Rory remains involved in medical education and has acted as an examiner for the University of Queensland Medical School on a number of occasions.
